Why Samaritan's Purse?
In May 2011, after a devastating EF5 tornado struck Joplin, Missouri, I volunteered with Samaritan's Purse, helping families recover from the destruction by clearing fallen trees and salvaging homes. Having begun my nursing career at St. John's Hospital—also destroyed in the tornado—I witnessed firsthand the uncertainty and devastation people face in a disaster.
This personal experience inspired The Firm Ground Coffee to partner with Samaritan's Purse, a ministry known for its global impact on both physical and spiritual needs. By supporting them, we are helping bring hope and aid to communities worldwide.
